Plot:

Finally something entertaining came out of Brody Jenner's (and by Brody Jenner's I mean MTV's) creation of the term "bromance."

In the midst of the non-sensical nicknames and bro-riffic jargon is an amusing story about newly engaged Peter (Paul Rudd) and Zooey (Rashida Jones) and their uneven numbers between the best men and bridesmaids at their wedding.

Peter needs a few best men, and fast. His search leads him to Sydney Fife (Jason Segel) who is a charismatic guy living the dude life. In between "slapping the bass," too much drinking at a poker game, and trying to sell Lou Ferrigno's L.A. home, Peter finds his best bro, but possibly at the cost of his fiancée.

Review:

Although Sydney's character was a little underdeveloped and there were too many reoccurring and repetitive jokes that only brought a laugh out loud moment the first, or possibly second time, I thought that the story about looking for a friendship in an adult world is accurately shown as awkwardly and dauntingly as it is in real life.

Seeking new friends can bring out the social awkardness in anyone, and this movie shows that going out on a limb, whether it be with friendship, business, or relationships, can be rewarding and profitable.

My only real disappointment was the lack of Andy Sandberg throughout the film. It seemed unfair that he didn't get enough screen time to showcase his comedic talents, and his character as Peter's brother might as well of been a no name actor.
