In the past year alone, more than 250 million Americans owned a cell phone, which is more than 82 percent of the U.S. population, according to switched.com. Worldwide, 2,168,433,600 people also owned a cell phone.

Each year, most cell phone companies come out with new and exciting technology, whether it's a new look overall on a phone, or a completely new operating system.

For those who love technology, there are always new products to look forward to.

The HTC Touch Diamond offered by Sprint is a 2.8 inch touch screen phone with a vibrant touch response user interface and ultra fast internet connection.

The phone has a solid metal frame with a sleek matte finish.

The phone isn't called the HTC Touch Diamond for no reason, the back face of the phone is actually cut like a diamond is and resembles it in a few ways.

The HTC Touch Diamond allows you to interact with Google, YouTube, and Wikipedia as freely as you would with any broadband connection.

The diamond version also comes with a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera compared to a 2.0 megapixel camera with the HTC Touch and holds a massive 4GB internally compared to the diamond version that only held 128MB internally.

The Touch Diamond also has an integrated GPS with better map software as well as a turn by turn satellite navigation experience.

Not only is this phone available in black but in white as well. For a new customer signing a two-year contract the phone is priced at $249.99.

The G1 Android phone also has a huge buzz surrounding it and its having many features that separate it from the rest.

It will be easy to use mobile web devices spanning two continents and internationally, according to T-Mobile.

The G1 will have a high quality screen that slides open to a full QWERTY keyboard, making it easier to communicate with friends as well as a 3 megapixel camera.

Along with this keypad is the phone's own e-mail and instant messaging systems.

A full HTML browser will allow users to surf the web, so they can easily zoom in to expand any section of the Web page by tapping on the screen.

According to T-Mobile, with the built-in support for T-Mobile's 3G and EDGE network, and Wi-Fi, the T-Mobile G1 can connect to the best available high-speed data connection for surfing the Web and downloading information quickly and effortlessly.
